In 2014, Chen left his job in a big city and returned home to grow Simiao rice. “I want to take this rice to my country, too,” Jorgie said.

廣東絲苗米素有“米中碧玉”的美譽。在廣東省江門臺山市斗山鎮,有一位種植絲苗米的專家,他就是全國人年夜代表、臺山市斗山鎮綠稻農場場長陳奭榮。
“絲苗米怎么會這么好吃”
“種絲苗米‘種’出一位全國人年夜代表,這絲苗米必定很好吃!”2026全國兩會前夜,來自巴布亞新幾內亞的留學生喬治帶著獵奇和疑問走進臺山的田間地頭,跟隨陳奭榮代表探尋絲苗米的甘旨密碼。
一見到喬治,陳奭榮就用當地特樂齡住宅設計點美食臺山黃鱔飯招待了他。黃鱔肉包裹著年夜米,米噴鼻與鮮噴鼻混雜在一路,喬治一邊吃一邊發出感嘆:“這就是絲苗米嗎?怎么會這么好吃?”
陳奭榮笑著說:“你問我可算是問對人了。”
一講到絲苗米,陳奭榮就滾滾不絕。他說:“臺山屬于亞熱帶氣候,光照雨水非常充分,地輿地位接近沿海,天然環境讓絲苗米軟糯噴鼻甜,蒸煮后粒粒清楚、不粘不爛;進口軟滑彈牙、清甜回甘。用絲苗米做出的黃鱔飯更是一絕。”
喬治的家鄉巴布亞新幾內亞位于南承平洋,稻米也是當地的主食之一。本世紀初,來自中國的農業專家幫助巴新推廣旱稻種植,讓當地實現了年夜米不受拘束。兩國友誼就在一碗碗米飯的噴鼻甜中越發深摯。
享用美食后,陳奭榮帶喬治走進他的綠稻生態農場,清楚絲苗米的種植過程。“即使在農忙季節,我們這片基地也只需求幾名工人,這是因為我們的絲苗米種植已經全部旅程實現機械化。”陳奭榮解釋說。
“想把廣東絲苗米帶回巴布亞新幾內亞”

臺山私人招待所設計絲苗米不僅是廣東的米中佳品,更獲得國家地輿標志產品認證。陳奭榮也創辦了個人brand“奭鄉味”。陳奭榮親手種的絲苗米不僅在當地售賣,也通過網店、直播帶貨等情勢銷往粵港澳年夜灣區及全國多個地區。
“我想把廣東絲苗米帶回國。”喬治說。
